Since 1948, your trusted optician in Olbia

Ottica Priarone was founded in the post-war period when Giovanni Priarone started his first business in Olbia in 1948. His family had previously moved to Genoa, where Giovanni spent his childhood and had his first contact with the world of optics at just 12 years old. The sudden death of his father in 1928 led him to work as an apprentice in an old Ligurian optician's shop to help his family. It was an experience that marked his life, allowing him to learn the secrets of the trade, for which he developed a strong passion, ultimately leading him to obtain his diploma in Optics from the University of Genoa.

With his heart always turned towards his homeland, once he returned from the front, Giovanni opened the shop together with his wife Elena, in Via Cavour, one of the “viette” in the historic centre.
